Navojoa, Sonora. 2 de noviembre de 2019 (Andrey Fuentes/Club Cañeros).- José Valdez dio una impresionante cátedra de pitcheo y sus compañeros le correspondieron con poder al bate para arrollar a los Mayos de Navojoa con marcador de 9 carreras por 2 igualando la serie en el “Ciclón”.
El derecho dominicano impuso sus condiciones por espacio de 7 entradas en las que apenas le pudieron conectar par de imparables. La ofensiva se mostró encendida con 19 imparables destacando par de cuadrangulares de Leandro Castro y cinco hits de Isaac Rodríguez.
Los Cañeros se hicieron con el control del juego tomando por asalto el segundo inning; con bases llenas y un out Noel Cuevas conectó hit remolcando a Arredondo, luego Isaac Rodriguez bateó doblete para impulsar a Rodolfo Amador y Fernando Inzunza, Josuan Hernandez trajo a Cuevas con elevado de sacrificio y finalmente Leandro Castro bateó cuadrangular con Rodriguez a bordo para coronar el rally de 6 carreras.
En la apertura de la cuarta entrada Leandro Castro volvió a irse para la calle con cuadrangular solitario, mismo que fue su quinto vuelacercas de la campaña.
Los Mayos lograron quitarse la blanqueada en la octava entrada; Juan Carlos López entró a lanzar en lugar de Valdez y Christian Zazueta lo recibió con triple, luego anotó con una rola al cuadro de Paúl León.
No conforme con el marcador, Leandro Castro conectó sencillo en el noveno rollo impulsando a Isaac Rodríguez y Josuan Hernandez.
Cuando faltaban 3 outs los Mayos dieron una breve muestra de vida con un hit de Christian Zazueta el cual remolcó a Omar Meza con la última carrera del juego.
Este domingo será el decisivo de la serie y Yoanys Quiala abrirá por Cañeros enfrentando a Luis Payán en juego programado a las 5 de la tarde y que podrá sintonizarse en MegaSports y escucharse en La Mejor 90.9 FM.

El primero en subir a la loma fue Mitch Lambson y fue castigado con 5 carreras en apenas una entrada y dos tercios, le conectaron 7 hits, no dio bases y ponchó a 2. Le siguieron Rogelio Martinez, Edwyn Valle, Isidro Márquez, Ozzie Méndez, Francisco Haro, Oscar Félix y Damián Mendoza.
Por Cañeros inició y venció Jose Valdez con 7 entradas en las que solo le conectaron 2 hits, no dio bases y abanicó a 7. Le ayudaron Juan Carlos López, Jameson McGrane y Daniel Duarte.
