CAÑEROS DE LOS MOCHIS 3-1 ÁGUILAS DE MEXICALI
Mexicali, Baja California. 28 de octubre de 2019 (Andrey Fuentes/Club Cañeros).- Los Cañeros de Los Mochis y los Águilas de Mexicali se enfrascaron en una intensa batalla de pitcheo que se extendió más allá de las nueve entradas terminando siendo favorable a la Fuerza Verde que anotó en la parte alta del inning 23 completando así la barrida con marcador final de 3 carreras por 1.
El duelo monticular inició con el norteamericano Joe Van Meter y el cubano José Valdez, los relevos de ambas escuadras estuvieron a la altura y mantuvieron el juego sobre el alambre hasta lograr igualar la marca de entradas jugadas en la Liga Mexicana del Pacífico.
La primera carrera del juego llegó en la parte baja de la segunda entrada cuando con doblete Fabricio Macías impulsó a Carlos Rodríguez para poner al frente a los Águilas.
Los Cañeros lograron igualar en la apertura del cuarto episodio con sencillo de Noel Cuevas y anotada de Josuan Hernández.
La historia quiso que el récord de entradas jugadas se igualara y fue hasta el inning número 22 que volvió a colocarse carrera en la pizarra; los verdes llenaron las bases y luego Jesús Arredondo elevó al derecho para que Leandro Castro anotara la del despegue. Saúl Soto añadió una más elevando al izquierdo.
Este martes los Cañeros vuelven a Los Mochis para recibir y enfrentar por primera vez en la historia a los Sultanes de Monterrey, sobre el centro del diamante estarán lanzando Yoanys Quiala, Luke Heimlich y Rafael Ordaz contra Mithc Atkins, Édgar González y Brett Oberholtzer.

Por Aguilas de Mexicali inició Joe Van Meter y dejó el juego tras seis entradas y dos tercios, le anotaron 1 carrera, le conectaron 5 hits, dio 1 bases por bolas y ponchó a 3. Le siguieron Rodolfo Aguilar, Edgar Gomez, Mario Meza, Jose Manuel Lopez, José Meraz, Marco Carrillo y el derrotado Juan Alvarado.
Por Cañeros inició Jose A. Valdez y dejó el juego empatado a una carrera en cinco entradas y dos tercios le conectaron 4 hits, dio 5 bases por bolas y ponchó a 3. Le siguieron Jameson McGrane, Erick Valenzuela, Fabian Cota, Irving Machuca, Héctor Villalobos, Juan Gámez, Marcos Machado, Jonás Garibay y el ganador Juan Carlos López.
